On June 1, 2024, Joe Zawinul’s Mediterranean Suite will be premiered at the Wolkenturm in Grafenegg with radio.string.quartet. You can hear the Zawinul Legacy Band 3.0 with former members of Weather Report and Zawinul Syndicate and the Zawinul All-Star Big Band. 

Another highlight of the evening will be the performance by the Zawinul Legacy Band 3.0 with former members of Joe Zawinul’s world-famous fusion band “Weather Report” and “Zawinul Syndicate” with Omar Hakim (drums), Bobby Thomas Jr. (hand drums), Gerald Veasley (bass), Rachel Z (keyboards), Bob Franceschini (saxophone) 

The evening will open with the Zawinul All-Star Big Band a mix of professional and the top students from University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna under the direction of Markus Geiselhart, who also will conduct the grand finale, in which all of the evening’s musicians will perform on stage together all at one once. The project is initiated, artistically planned, and carried out by documentary film Director / producer Antony Zawinul, eldest son of Joe Zawinul who, with his production company Gang of 4 Films, is producing the creation and the concert in Grafenegg as a concert documentary film under the title Joe Zawinul’s Music Odyssey
